As for the skills, Id much rather take a spell sphere (time magic), warding or +exp units since morale only does so much. I see, Ill be keeping an eye out for one, but for now I guess the one i have is fine. However, a hero with no synergies has access to more skills since none of them are combined. Leadership and racial morale skills arent useless together as skills are capped to the heros level. This means that synergy bonuses provide more skill points than are available (at the start) to a hero with no synergised skills. A synergy means that the hero starts with that skill available at level 1, and an extra skill point is put into it. If a class and race have a skill that is shared by both, it is called a synergy. These skills and the hero's base stats can be invested in upon a level-up. For every bonus stat a class gains, there is another stat that gains a penalty, so the combined total of bonuses and penalties will always be 0.Įach class and race can give from 8-10 skills to your hero, depending upon your race/class combination. If new to the game try playing with friends first as veterans will easily overwhelm you and there are trolls out there with artifact set gear even on low level heroes.In total there are 29 different classes (28 with the official 1.03 patch). Skilled players are roughly as hard as playing "I am the greatest" mode in a skirmish. Players are much harder than any AI and you will not have campaign bonuses helping your hero out. Search online for a hero editor if you just want to jump into high level hero combat and skip the long time gaining experience or items. Playing with other people can be a hassle as they impose all sorts of restrictions and it is usualy better enjoyed with friends having heroes of similar levels. Most people do not like to play with high level heroes like 40+ and beyond level 100+ some character builds ruin most strategy. Right click on team colors to check the other heroes levels. It can be fun however temporary heroes have no equipment so are very weak and you have to watch out for people with insanely high levels when playing.
